About us

The SHCC is an online event organised by a few creative entrepreneurs. We started this because all our events were cancelled due to Covid-19 and we decided to set up an online comic con so we could keep our beloved community together during this time.

The first edition was a huge succes and embraced by visitors, dealers, artists and many more. We had more than 200 booths, 70 live streams and 60 cosplayers. Also, the media really liked itand we were featured on many blogs and radio shows. This amazing response gave us motivation to do it again and make it even better!

What happens after Covid-19?

At the moment we’re all indoors growing our hair, setting new gaming records and watching as many series as we possibly can. We can’t wait for this pandemic is over so we can see each other in real life and visit our favorite conventions.

But there’s a large group of people who can’t go to conventions due to lack of money, an illness or maybe there’s just scared. For these people we’re gonna visit the cons and bring them to your home! We’re gonna share everything with you through live-streams pictures, videos, blogs and whatever we can think of in the meantime. This way no one is excluded for our amazing community!

Hi, my name is Lucky CatNL. I am a Dutch cosplayer and ever since the first time I went to a con I instantly fell in love with cosplay! I attended my first competition in 2019 and won my first competition in 2020 at Stay Home Comic Con.

My specialities are wig styling, make up and self taught sewing of my cosplay’s. Now I help out with cosplay related events in the organization.

Richard Boom

Richard Boom

I started out in the comic industry as your regular fanboy, just reading comics and enjoying it even more due to the internet and making contact with creators. As my contact list grew, so did my interest in the complete field of comic. Starting up a Bad Grrl Comics Fan Club in 2001 was the first step to go further then my own living room.

After that I began setting up websites for Arthur Suydam, Eric Basaldua, Broadsword Comics and focused on titles like Vampirella, Cavewoman, Hack/Slash and more. Eventually I started working with Facts, where I met the founder of Broken Frontier and started doing headlines for their news site.

Later I founded the website http://comicsforsinners.com which more resembles my prior BadGrrl Fan Club. Nowadays I work as an art agent, sending out comic press releases and since 2019 I publish various comic books.
